Going to the cinema - does not seem to be happening for me at the moment - so our only solution is to rent DVDs!!! So the last one I rented was 'Walk the Line' and I was blown away by it - just loved it !!! Got out also 'Friends with money' with Jennifer Aniston - which was terrible !!! So boring !!! Honestly I really like her as an actress - so I have no idea what possessed her to make this one !!! - my advice - give that one a big miss !!!

Love Julia Roberts too - isn't Erin Brockovick just a fantastic film - could watch that time and time again. Actually last night on the telly they were showing Groundhog day and I forgot how good that is. It is hilarious in places.
Other favourites are the James Ivory films - you know the one called 'A room with a view'. Honestly that is such a brilliant film. And the costumes are to die for. ;D

yes Erin B is a fab film, and Groundhog day very funny. I have seen A room with a view ~blush~. Notting Hill is one of my favs, and not forgetting Pretty Woman. I use to love Tom Cruises earlier films like Top Gun and thingytail and also Rainman. We are going to see Mr Beans Holiday in a couple of weeks time - babysitter booked for DS and hubby and I and DD are off - cant wait!

Saw the Guardian recently and thought it was great. Try that one or the Devil wears Prada - loved that one too.

Yes loved the film Devil wears Prada. Thought Meryl Streep was great in it. Another film I loved was The queen, which surprised me but the story really gripped me.

A friend dropped over the first series of Desperate Housewives - so that should keep me busy for the next week or so. Any fans of that series out there ? ;D

I am the same now that I have got into them. Isn't Gabriella the best - her clothes look just amazing. If only............. but sure I was never a size 10 - ever - but they still look lovely!

I have a confession to make.................I'm a smoker and just can't enjoy a trip to the cinema since the smoking ban. I'd prefer to wait three months till the movie is out on DVD and watch it. Can't stand rootin'. shootin' movies staring the likes of Bruce Willis (shot at 2 million times but still survives). I'd watch Grease, Muriels Wedding, Steel Magnolias, Pretty Woman, over and over again - anything chick flick!!.....or any of the Disney classics, Cinderella etc., Love desperate housewives - I want Bree Van De Camp to be my house-keeper! Dream on.

And there was me thinking you were Bree Barbara with those plastic flowers out the front ;D ;D ;D ;D What I love about her is the way she is able to cook so much food without even dirting a pot or a dish - and the way the place looks always gleaming !!! But then have you noticed the way all the houses look incrediably clean - even Susan's !!!!
