In the last two years both myself and hubbie were hospitalised. Hubbie had gaulstones and I had a hernia. My son told his teacher that his Dad had hailstones and I had a hurricane. Do you think he''ll become a doctor or a weather forecaster.?
He asked me the other day "Mam what are your testicles?" I explained - in the best way I could!! Then asked him why he wanted to know. He told me a girl in his class told EVERYONE she had her testicles taken out.

Found one funny story for you Barbara ! A few years ago my DS got the chicken pox and when a friend up the road asked him how he got them - my son said he just picked them up ! To which his friend said (who was five at the time) "well if I found them I would never pick them up off the ground ! I would just leave them there" ;D ;D ;D
(Unfortunately he did pick them up two weeks later !!!!!)

love the stories. Just yesterday, when we crossed the road, [ not at the zebra crossing] my 6 year old told me that what we had done was wrong because if the police saw us we would be UNDER ARRESTED.Don't you just love when they have their own interpretation of the English language.

Love that story Mary - and speaking of 'language' here is a good one for you ! My brother in law is german but speaks fluent english !
Anyway a few years ago my daughter who was 5 at the time asked him what language he spoke in Germany and he said 'german'. To which she told him that she spoke 'german' too because she could understand him perfectly !!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Also I was reading her a story "from my head" the other night and asked her if she could see Swiper (from Dora) From the light coming from the crack in the door I could see the look she gave me was withering, and she says, "I can't see, your reading from your head" I was suitably chastised!!!!!

Hearing your story of reading Neasa - brought back memories of having to read the same story over and over again for months !! And if you missed or changed a word - there was war !!! I know for a fact that i can quote vertabum 'Early Bird' by Richard Scarry !! And 'Foxy goes to Bed'. And I used to love the way my son used to call 'Winnie the Pooh' - LaLa La Pooo !!!
